Candice and David – Malibu Beach Wedding

Although they are still on their honeymoon in Aruba without much internet access, I couldn’t wait to put up at least a few sneak peek pics of Candice and David’s lovely beach wedding north of Malibu.  Ah, what it is to be young and in love!  They are such a great couple.  Candice was soooo laid back about the entire day and David had us cracking up with his dry sense of humor.  It was cool to spend time with each of them getting ready and then to see the looks on their faces when seeing each other for the first time.  Candice was beautiful and David… well when he wasn’t making jokes he could drop a “Blue Steel” that would make Derek Zoolander jealous.  I was glad to be a part of their special day and am excited for them to return so we can go through all of the images.

My pal Mike Olbinski was kind enough to act as my co-shooter (second shooter implies you are somewhat less of a shooter than the first shooter!).  This was our second wedding working together and in addition to the team work aspect there is also a bit of underlying competition to see who can make the best images.  When you have two people both trying to take the best images of a wedding, the overall quality increases dramatically.  The other nice thing about Mike is that I have trust and confidence in him.  If he said he got a particular shot,  I knew we were covered and had no doubts they were solid images.

Here is a bit of a teaser of some of my images.  You can catch the full slideshow here.

Man, you two rocked the house on these images. I believe you hit the nail on the head, as the competition between you two created some spectacular shots. Fantastic work!

I’ve always been a fan of the ring creating a heart shaped shadow in a book. Love the photos!

Awesome shots Rick. Great team work there. It is very interesting to see the different style of shooting and post processing between the two of you. Great stuff!
